Grandpa's 83rd bday party

We went to Grandpa's 83rd bday party on Saturday! We had a great time rolling pool balls on the pool table with Danielle and Lauren and playing outside with PopPop!

Boo Boo

We had our first official bloody boo boo last weekend. She and I were playing in the floor and she decided to do a little head banging and hit the corner of the TV just right. Lots of tears and a bloody wash rag later this is how she looked. Even a week later you can barely see the scab but she still finds it and says " my booboo."




We had some good news for mom! The doctor had found another lump a few weeks ago. They did an ultra sound or something like that and it was nothing! We are praising God for some good news! Have a blessed day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Did you see a leprechaun today?? There was one in my classroom making messes and dropping green paint on the floor. We made traps to catch him but didn't succeed. Naomi Kate says she saw a leprechaun at her school today too.
We have been up to much of the same- playin' as NK says. Mom is doing okay, she continues to struggle each week getting someone to take her to the chemo and bring her home. It is a long drive for most people to go and get her and take her to the hospital and then back home. Continue to pray for her, she is having to take some medication for her liver b/c the chemo is being bad to it.

Book Recommendation

I would like to recommend the book The Shack to everyone. It is a very good book with lots of truths and wisdom.
Mom's blood count was low today, I don't think they did her chemo treatment. She was at the hospital most of the day. Big thank you's to Aunt Carol for enduring all that waiting.

Update on mom

Hello! I'm so sorry I haven't blogged much lately. I am ashamed to say that I have been obessed with the Twilight Series and have been reading non-stop. Thank you to all of you prayer warriors that are still praying for mom. She had a difficult day today. She went in today to get a port so she could do chemo for the rest of the year. Yes, I said rest of the year. They want her to do a low dose for a year to help kill any kind of cancer that might occur. She is doing okay, but she has lost all of her hair and her wigs were expensive and she is really sore right now from the surgery to put in the port. She said her pain medicine was not even helping. So please continue to pray for her.
On a good note she received an anonomous letter in the mail with 1,000 dollars in it. She is touched and thankful to whoever it was and praises God for his goodness. She also received some $ from her Sunday school class member. Praise God!
Great sympathy goes to my step-mom and dad for the loss of Cindy's mom last week.

Happy Birthday NK!

Naomi Kate turned 2 years old today! We are so excited that she is a healthy beautiful 2 year old girl today. She has blessed our lives immensely since she entered them 2 years ago today. We had a great birthday party on Saturday (Valentine's Day).
Big thanks to everyone that came to the party! She had fun I think and got so much stuff. Thanks for all the wonderful new toys and beautiful new clothes!

Updates on mom and party

Hello there everyone! Just wanted to update you and mom's condition lately and remind you of NK's party. So here goes... Mom is doing surprisingly well so far. She had one real bad day this past Wednesday, but seemed better once they got her some meds. She had another treatment yesterday. Please keep praying for her, she has 4 more months of doctors, needles, medications, and worry. Thanks for all the support so far especially from her work gang.
Naomi Kate's party is this Saturday from 2:30-4:00pm and we can't wait. Call or email me for more details if you need them. God bless you today and everyday!
