Cookies with Santa

It was so nice for Josh and I to both go to cookies with Santa this year! NK won the first (5) gifts of Christmas! Her name was drawn actually twice. I put it in and Josh put her name in also. Ooops, we were not trying to be dishonest I promise. We really had a great time and enjoyed talking to Santa and making some fun crafts.

Presenting Vivian Rose Grissom

"Happy Thanksgiving. My water broke." That is what Josh woke up to at 1am on Thursday morning. We called his momma and she came over and we were on the way to the hospital. Got there about 3:30am and I was at a 3 and having still mild contractions. We got in our birthing room and I was at a 4 before they FINALLY got the epidural in and I was able to focus a little. We waited about an hour and she came in and checked me and I was a 9. The coolest part about it is that I was suppose to have the on call doctor deliver me and she called my regular doctor and Dr. Crowe came to deliver Vivi! She walked in and we said what are you doing here?? She said she has teenagers and they were still sleeping, no big deal. :) Super cool! I pushed for about 5 minutes and there she was! Vivian Rose Grissom made her first appearance at 9:16am Thursday morning, Thanksgiving day. She weighed 6.14lbs and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is precious and perfect!

Just us

She's still in there

She's out! Really it was about that fast!

We got 3 roses from Daddy for his 3 girls!

In case you can't tell she is wearing a shirt with ballerina shoes and a tutu for her ride home. This time she actually fits in her clothes. (NK's outfit was humongous and I had to roll the sleeves up several times, she looked like a clown. You live and you learn.)

The cats were not quite sure what to think. Meila has been pretty happily curious. Mr. Bobo has been there, done that and wants nothing to do with her. NK wants to hold her all the time and has been a fantastic big sister. She took a picture of Vivi to school and showed it off to her friends. We are so thankful and blessed for our precious new addtion and our whole family and friends. We have been showered with gifts, food, and well wishes. Thank you to all!

Halloween 2010

Daddy and NK carving a pumpkin together! Too cute and sweet. She actually really enjoyed helping this year. A far cry from the year she ran away every time Josh pulled guts out.

Help there's a chicken attacking that mermaid! Oh wait it's just G and NK.

Me and my little mermaid!

Marshmallow Meila

Not sure if you knew but we got a new kitty last week. Ms. Boo (our oldest cat) had taken to pooping on the floor since we moved to our new house. She recently started peeing also on the floor. The carpet in our bonus room is going to have to be professionally cleaned I believe. Needless to say we tried everything to get her to stop but it was a behavioral problem and she was set in her ways. We were either going to put her down or give her away. Mom graciously offered to take her and says she is doing fantastic at her house. Everything really fell into place when a nice couple from Josh's work brought in a black (with a little white) kitten they couldn't keep. We kinda did a swapperoo with Ms. Boo and the new kitten. Josh and I had some apprehensions about Naomi Kate really missing Ms. Boo but since we got the new kitty, Ms. Boo has only been a fading memory. Kids are so funny like that! We decided to name her Meila (yes that was a short-lived baby name) and NK has taken to her Grandad's way of naming everything after food thus the Marshmallow Meila name. She is too cute, tiny, snuggly, and very sweet. We are hooked!

The pictures are not the best I know. This 3 year old loves to say "Cheeeeeeeseeeeeee!!!!" but doesn't apparently understand the words "Look at the camera, sweetie."
On a side note does anyone like the name Chloelle?

Jackson's Orchard 2010

Okay so, who remembers the picture troubles we had on Easter with Connor, Emma, and NK? When one looks good the others do not and so on. Well, same goes for babies staying put in the same place and asking them to smile all at the same time! The pictures of the 3 of them should really crack everybody up. Did I mention it was hard to get them to stay still.
We had so much fun! When I asked Naomi Kate what her favorite part was she of course said the big slide. Thanks to Mag and Rach, she was able to go on the slide. There was no way I was gonna get up that high with this big belly. Ty wasn't a big fan of the slide but GG kept saying "gin" so it was fun times for Mag. Although she said the slide was her favorite, the first thing she told Josh when he got home was all about the wagon ride. The best part for me was my sweet friends, their adorable babies, and the fabulous apple cider slush and caramel apple (only $3.00 I might add)!!

We haven't been to the Orchard since NK was about 18 months. Here is a now and then comparison. Wow!
