Josh's Obsession

ESPN Bass Tournament comes to Hendersonville!
Josh has been very excited this weekend over the Bass Tournament being right down the road from us.  He actually got to meet a few of the anglers (aren't you impressed I know that word?) and get their autographs.  He happened to be fishing (what he goes fishing?) when a few anglers and a professional photographer for the event came close to his spot to take pictures.  He got to go on Rick Kline's boat.  I think that was his name.  Josh went to the final weigh in and said it was quite an event.  They will air the tournament next week- Josh may show up on tv.

I would like to introduce the superstar of our house.  Her name gets said at least 50 times a day if not more.  It is the one and only "BOOOOO."  Naomi Kate loves her so much she looks for her everywhere.  She is the first name we here when we go to get her in the morning and we must periodically throughout the day check to see where Boo is.

For those of you that have not tried the strawberries and cream coffee cake at Starbucks, here is picture of it.   I am addicted to it.  You must try it is fantastic!

At a loss for words

I would like to send deepest sympathy to all the families and people involved in the murder in Nashville involving one of our church members.  It is very tragic.  Just know that the Lord gives us strength in times of trial.  He will take care of you.  I am praying for everyone who has been touched by this tragedy.

Old Cute Video

Here is a video from the archive for those that just want to see how much she has changed in only 4 months.

I'm a little long winded today

Josh and I had a fabulous time in Bowling Green!  We did a lot of fun stuff believe it or not, well it was fun for us anyway.  We had a nice quiet drive (no Veggie Tale songs), I actually read a book other than the Bible this weekend.  It is called Digital Fortress by Dan Brown.  It was a bit predictable if you have read his other books but still very good.  I am about to start another of his novels Deception Point.  We went to Smokey Bones on Friday night, one of our favorites from BG.  We went swimming and just stayed out late.  The next morning we slept till... drum roll please.. 10AM!  Awesome!!  We went to Mancino's for lunch yummy (oh and get this mag you can use your Big Red Dollars there now!!--Grrr hiss not fair).  Then we drove around school and saw all the new nice buildings, then to the mall where we shopped till we dropped and ran into Valerie Jones.  It was nice to see Zoe Kate in person although she was sleeping shhh.  I still can't believe she still fits in her infant car seat, Naomi Kate would be a giant next to her!  We went to Yuki's for dinner with a little help from David and Phillip we finally found it.  Then we actually went to a movie!  This is the funniest weirdest part, as Josh and I were driving in to BG I told him that I wished I had Facebooked Lauren a good friend from the Eled program I went to school with.  She was at the Indiana Jones Movie!!  Sitting right down the aisle from me 81/2 mos pregnant.  She had never even seen an Indiana Jones movie before but her hubby had said lets go see it and she said okay.  Isn't that cool!  By the way, very good movie despite what others have said, it really tied in a lot of the other movies, Josh and I loved it!  Sunday we slept in again and had some lunch and headed home to our precious blue-eyed girl!  Mommy missed her baby sooooo much!  Thanks to Grandmom for doing such a great job watching our baby girl!

This is the last post for this weekend.  Josh and I are going to Bowling Green for our 5 year Anniversary.  Just a little short close vaca.  We will be missing our baby girl so much.  Mommy will be hoping we don't have any big fits for Grandmom like we have for Mommy.  Everybody have a great weekend!

Not sure if you guys remember or not but I told you I bought another thing from Uppercase living that I was giving as a gift and so I couldn't put it on my blog yet.  Well, here it be.  I thought it would be really cute for Amy (sister-n-law)  because they always have a 4th of July bash at their house.  Come to find out they will not be in town this year- oh well, maybe she can use it when she goes to a party or something.

Last Wednesday when we were getting ready for church, I was getting a bow for her to wear and Naomi Kate kept saying something.  I finally looked at her to see what the commotion was about and saw her pointing to her wrist.  She was saying "brace, brace."  She wanted to wear her bracelet.  It was very cute.  We do love our bracelet that Aunt Candy made for us.

Father's Day

We also had lots of fun on Father's Day.  Josh got his presents early (fishing stuff), but Naomi Kate and I went to Krystal's early Sunday morn and got him his favorite (or I thought it was) breakfast.  Then we went to Grandma's House for lunch.  After lunch we took a long hot walk to a bridge that is very close to her house (or we thought it was).  Yuck!  We got very hot and sweaty.  I guess the strawberry shortcake made up for it.  Yum!  NK got to have a purple popsicle that she proceeded to squirt all over Josh and I once it melted enough.  haha baby girl.  We got dad a blackjack book so he can win when he goes to the casinos.  Happy Father's Day everybody!

The Chicken Dance

We had a fantastic weekend!  Our Saturday night shrimp boil at Bryan and Amy's was lots of fun.  Let me just use this opportunity to tell you how hilarious my mother-in-law is!  She ordered a chicken to sing and dance for my sister-in-law's 40th birthday.  He came in the heat of summer dressed as a chicken and sang and danced the chicken dance with Amy, Bryan, Scott, Paul, and Carly.  Just too funny!  You just should have been there.  Okay just one more exclamation mark!

Girls Night

Girls night out to the Cheesecake Factory or Spaghetti Factory (as mag told her sis) was a total blast!  We ate amazing food, had great company, and rode in style.  Our clinique friend didn't warn us she was taking the picture but no one closed their eyes!  I won't mention the person that usually does.  Aren't we the loveliest(another new word rach)??  I am still stuffed at 10 am the next morning.  Hope your "skype date" was good tayl.  I love doing girls night!  Here is our dynamic cast.

Eating time

During one of our lunch times she was repeating all the foods I said, so I thought I should get it on tape.  We are working on using the sippy cup that doesn't have the spill-proof caps on them.  It is hard for her to remember to hold it up but if I hold on to it, she seems to let go.  How's that for service?  I also impressed by her saying ham so well.

Swimming with Auntie Mags

We have been swimming 3 times already this year!  That is one more than last year and the summer just got started!  We also have a date on Thursday to swim as well.  We are so lucky to have so many good friends and family to play with.  Auntie Maggie came over yesterday to swim with us and then we got Maggie Moo's~ very yummy!
It kinda looks like Mag is eating the hippo's tail.  Hungry??  hee hee

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to use my blog for this or not.  I would like to ask everyone to send an email to our sumner county commisioners.  They are voting on whether or not to give the school system the same budget as they did last year.  That would mean A LOT OF PROBLEMS for me and my fellow teachers.  We would probably not be getting raises and have to cut spending in the school as well.  I have emailed them concerning this matter already.  Just write them an email telling them they need to accept the budget the board of education suggested and not keep the budget the same as last year.  You would be so swell!  Here is the site.  We would really appreciate it.

I have been meaning to put this on for a while now.  I went to a party pretty recently that Rachel put on.  It was fun and this stuff is very cool.  Mom helped me put these up and I also bought a 4th of July wording and star for a gift to put on a plate.  I will let you know how that goes tomorrow when I attempt to put it on a plate.  Check out their site it is very cool.  The letters I used for Naomi Kate's door were worked on in the lettering part of the site.  You can pick the different fonts in the lettering you want to use and it will show you how it will look.

I found her like this yesterday after I had been getting ready for the store.  I had left a few of her clothes out on her stool that were too small for her.  When I came in and saw her dress on her I asked her if she put on her dress.  She grabbed her chest and said "pree"- which means pretty for those that have never heard her say that.  I thought it was too adorable to not post.

More swimming with friends

She really seemed to enjoy swimming again today.  We took her out of the float and let her kick in the water.  She did really well.  Auntie Rachel got her giggling a couple times which is good medicine to everyone's ears.

Swimming with Friends

We went swimming today with Nicole, Madi, and Ellie!  We had a great time and we love our new suit and cover-up from our Aunt Amy!  We also appreciated our swimmy diapers from our Grandmom Dot.  Can't wait to go again.  Naomi Kate really seemed to have fun although you can't tell very much from the picture.

Not so nice- nice guy

Me before the comments:

Tiger Woods is totally obnoxious for making comments about hockey.  Especially when he doesn't know what he is talking about.  Besides the fact that he is a great player and should be respectful of other sports.  People look up to him- well one less now.
