Turkey Baby turning 1!

V is turning 1 on Friday! We can't believe she is growing so fast and is already walking! We had a great little 1 year old bday party for the turkey baby. Here are the highlights: V and NK matching turkey shirts, V had to eat right as the party started (her fave thing to do), NK and Daddy making balloon animals... sorta, Nollie and Vivi kissing(didn't get any pics of that), Vivi giving Gran-dad really sweet icing sugars, Meila eating the icing off the floor, and all our great friends and family coming to celebrate.

Fall 2011

Wow! It has been AWHILE! Sorry, school starts and everything is too fast and too busy. Here is the latest with the Halloween last night and few extra's. NK had to have a witch pumpkin. So, daddy "hunched out" (NK's words) the pumpkin and made it a witch pumpkin.

Thought I would add some new pics! V is 10 months old today and these are her 9 month pictures!
V loved that big bear! We didn't get many good ones with him because she kept flipping around and trying to eat him. How much do you love her "thinkin' one" as NK calls it. More pics of the girls together coming soon.

V is 9 months!

Where has the time gone? The only thing slow so far with V is her night sleeping. (And it feels like I haven't slept through the night in YEARS!!!) She is growing up faster than NK, if that is possible. This post is suppose to be all about V but, of course, I had to slip in a pic of NK on her first night of dance class. She also has a very adorable new sparkly tutu (pics coming soon). Back to Vivi- 9 things about her for her 9 month bday:
1) Have I mentioned she STILL doesn't sleep through the night? Here lately (this past week) she's gotten worse. Up at least 3 times throughout the night. My brain has turned to mush and I am a zombie. V is still a happy baby (for the most part) during the day sans the sleeping. Go figure
2) V is pulling up and can stand on her own for a few seconds without holding on to anything, she is a super fast crawler and can get in the cat food before you can blink.
3) Vivi LOVES her big sister. She laughs and smiles at her and basically thinks she hung the moon. NK eats it up.
4) V is a human vacuum. She will eat anything! We haven't found a thing that she doesn't like. And give her lots of it. While she eats she says "yummmuummmyumm ymmm, nnnmmmm" it's pretty funny.
5) Vivi has no seperation anxiety. Naomi Kate had seperation anxiety till she was 3. V actually crawled up in a stranger's lap on Tuesday at NK's dance play room.
6) Vivian is still pretty short. She has grown some in the past few days b/c she is fitting into the 6-9 month clothes. Up until 3 days ago she was still wearing 3-6 month clothes.
7) She says "Mommmmmuuu, mmmoommmuu, and dadaddaadu" for Josh and I.
8) She loves bathtime and splashes and plays with her big sissy for 20 minutes and cries when she has to get out.
9) Vivian Rose has the most adorable smile and laugh and she giggles all the time.

Michigan 2011

I'm sure you've heard that people in the north are a bit ruder than people in the south. I can attest to that after our family trip to visit my grandpa. Rude #1. While trying to find a parking spot on a packed 2 lane road that had cars parked on both sides of the street I had a lady almost hit my (new to me) car. Meanwhile she was telling me to get over and that "You got at least 5 inches over dare." Anyone wanta get a ruler out and measure 5 inches? Not much room for a Pathfinder huh? Rude #2: Older lady standing in a parking spot holding it for a car- man tries to pul in and almost runs her over honking and tells her to "Get the bleep out the way!" Cops got involved in that one. Rude #3. Lady arrested on the beach- scary! Rude #4. Guy flipping someone off for not apparent reason. Rude #5. Being told my dress was not modest enough. Leading others to sin. Only redeeming quality I coud find in Michiganders was a man telling a family he prayed for them to find their lost (and then quickly found) child on the beach.
We also had some great experiences. #1: I am really glad that my kids got to spend a little time with my grandpa. NK enjoyed following her great-grandpa around and picking strawberries in his garden. #2: She had her first beach experience, which was fantastic! If V hadn't taken a nose dive and roll into the sand it would have been perfect. I did learn that you can get sand off babies and children really easy with good old fashion baby powder. Very cool you should try it- it's like magic! #3 &4; We got to see 2 firework displays. The first one we were pretty far away but they were really good. The 2nd one was on the beach and that is a very memorable experience that everyone should have! #5: 4th of July Family cookout!
