Brown Ice

We had a fun morning with Ms. Shelley and Caroline. When we arrived at their house Shelley and her husband (Josh) were scrambling around in the kitchen cleaning up. Apparently Shelley put a Dr. Pepper in the ice maker to get it cold. Josh (not knowing or seeing Shelley) turned on the ice maker and started turning it and brown ice started coming out. I thought it was funny- they of course did not since they were cleaning it up.
"No Kay" as Caroline calls her had so much fun playing on the slide, swing, in the kiddie pool, and sprinkler. We found a huge bug on the side of Shelley's house. I had to take a picture of it. I forgot that we were swimming and I didn't bring NK's suit so she wore some of Caroline's clothes b/c we didn't think her swimsuit would fit. You can see the difference in their sizes in one of the pictures. NK looks like a giant- she is so tall! She also really enjoyed the "woegurt" that Shelley brought for her for lunch. It is the gogurt kind that they suck out of the plastic tube. Naomi Kate got it all over her! It was pretty funny b/c Caroline, who is 2 mos younger didn't spill a drop on herself. Fun times!

July 4th, 2009

We had a great 4th! We went to Bryan and Amy's house to eat and watch some fireworks. Of course the firework thing didn't really happen b/c it was pouring. There is a good pic of all the kids looking out the window at the lightning.

She can swim!!

Yes that is right ladies and gentlemen she is swimming all by herself in the deep end of the pool no less. All Josh did was tell her to keep her butt down and she just started kicking and bada bing she was swimming! We are super proud of our little flipper.

Busy Weekend

We had a long 4 day weekend! Yes, I said 4 day. Thursday Ms. Shelley and Caroline came over to swim and have lunch. Then we went to Grandmom and Grandad's for our very first sleepover! She did great by the way. Friday afternoon Josh and I went to fetch our baby girl and we went swimming with her. She also rode her bike and had a tea party.



We went to Nana's house Saturday morning and played in more "sprinkles." Saturday afternoon we went to Ms. Laura's party and that night we went to Dana and Eric's for a goodbye party. She was pretty wound-up after she had some very yummy icecream and brownies. (Long day.)

The answer is no we did not get a boat. Sunday, we were invited to Mary Jo and Bobby's house for dinner, so Josh could help clean Bobby's boat. NK decided it was her boat and had an absolute meltdown when she had to get out and eat dinner. Not fun.

Happy Anniversary/Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!



Wow! Today is our 6 years anniversary! We are so blessed to have each other and Naomi Kate. Josh and I have finally been married as long as we dated. Now you know the answer to a question on my facebook quiz. Since it is a special occasion I would like to say some nice things about and to Joshua. Not that I couldn't say more but I will go with 6 since it is the number of our years being marriage today.

Dress for Success

We are working on Naomi Kate dressing herself now. Usually I stand right by her and catch her as she is making mistakes while dressing. This time I put her outfit on her ottoman and told what to put where and left the room. Before this picture was taken she came to the door and said "Mommy, I need some heeelp." At first glance of this picture, you say good job she got her shorts on.


Then you see this photo and you think, well maybe not. Excuse me Miss you seem to have something sticking out of your bottom.

I have had a few questions about this- it is her other pant leg. She put both legs in one hole.
